Just in time for the warm spring weather, noted Sicilian wine maker and #1 Sicilian retail wine brand Villa Pozzi is entering the thriving Moscato category with its own offering, made from 100% Italian Moscato grapes. Imported in the U. S. by Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, the newest addition to the Villa Pozzi portfolio plans to tap into the two-year double digit growth of the Moscato varietal. In addition, Italian Moscato is also experiencing exceptional growth at more than 82% over the last 26 weeks, making it the fastest growing Italian white varietal.

“Moscato is the ideal complement to the Villa Pozzi portfolio, ” said Nicolas Ronteix, Director of Marketing, French and Italian Portfolio at Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits.

“Crisp and refreshing, this fruity Moscato is well balanced and deliciously sweet. It will pair beautifully with a variety of foods, from fruits and salads, to barbeque and dessert. ”

The Pozzi’s are a 4th generation wine producing family who pride themselves on their origins in Sicily, Italy’s largest wine producing region in both acreage and production. With the addition of Moscato, the Villa Pozzi portfolio will consist of five popular varietals including Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and the #1 selling Nero D’Avola in the U. S. Expected in stores by March, Villa Pozzi Moscato will be available in 750 ml ($9.99).
